I've just noticed that members can not access member profiles, it's as if they have been turned off. Is that possible? How do I undo this?

Profile can not be disabled although members need to be logged in.

If they still fail to work, it could be that you have javascript disabled in your browser or a corrupted file.

That could be. When I even as Admin, put my mouse over the profile button on any poster after they have posted, I can see the link, but when I hit it, it simply does nothing and an error message where the link was is in its place.

I backuped the database and deleted the old files and reinstalled the complete program. Still nothing.

Error message come up with attempting to view profiles, moving threads And even clicking on ADMIN button on top of a new thread. It's as if the links do not exist!

Now what?

In 7.x versions the profile page opens in a pop-up window.

If you ahve integrated the forum into your site then it could be janavscript in your own files that is coursing the javascript in the forum to fail.

Try running Firefox and looking in it's javascript console to see if you can see any errors occur in the javascript.
