Hi all,

I have to write a search engine for a database, the results have to be paged, but for the life of me I cannot remember how to do it.

Would someone be kind enough to jog my memory?

The pages have to contain 10 results and the page numbers as links at the bottom with a next link too.

Thanks,

Lee

The datagrid has it "built-in" .. check the SDK for properties and how to create it.

You can also check PagedDataSource ...

Datagrid cannot do what I need it to do. I need to arrange the results in a way that datagrid can't.

How about you tell us what you need?  Pretty hard to help otherwise...

Already done!

Datagrid cannot display results in a way that resembles Google. Therefore a solution must be written without datagrid.

The one thing I have found with the controls in all development environments is that they all have their shortfalls. To believe that they are the ultimate solution is madness! I have found controls in Delphi that are better than in VS, but the knife cuts in both directions.

Well god knows what you're on about.  You still haven't told us exactly what you want so how are we meant to help?

And why would you think the datagrid would be designed just to help people who want their site to look like google?  Thats not a shortfall at all.
