Alright, so ive been trying to figure out this problem for almost a week now. it all started when i tried signing onto msn monday and it came up that it couldnt connect and it sent me to the troubleshooting thing, i figured it was something wrong w/ the service so i tired it a few more times and eventually i gave up for the night, the next night i tried it again, adn again the next...soon i thought about my email and decided to check it so it wouldnt get full of junk and so i went to hotmail.com and it goes and i type in my pw but as soon as i hit enter to go into my email it goes to the page that says "This page cannot be displayed" soooo i was like well okay, and tried my other email, that doesnt work, and none of my friends emails work, however, they do from another computer...it keeps saying that the error is 0x80004005, ive uninstalled and reinstalled msn messenger several times, even downloading diffrent versions of msn, ive reset security levels on my computer ive ran virus checks, everything, im out of things i can do, i tried contacting customer service but it also wont let me do that, im stuck and have no clue what to do next, does anyone have any idea what to do to fix this?

You need to specify the steps to reproduce the error. Be detailed.

What do you mean steps? there isnt much to it, i type in my email and pw and hit sign in and the error message comes up saying taht it cant sign in and i can either close the box or click the troubleshooting box, if i do go to troubleshooting it tells me that there were no problems found, i tried to contact customer service through email but it also would'nt let me send that. the browser goes to hotmail.com but once i hit sign in again, it wont let me go. Yahoo and AIM both work though...i dunno if this helps at all...

Search Google. If it doesn't go away there are numerous fixes. Wink

For starters, what email are you using? A client? Browser? Outlook express? Eudora? Firefox? Netscape?

Reinstall Internet Explorer and update everything at windowsupdate.com. That's a basic catch-all for simple problems.

Or just use Windows Messenger instead of MSN - it's simpler with less junk in it but it works.
