As I am kind of new to this whole web forums thing I was in hope that someone here my take pitty on me and throw me a bone. The error message after taking off the Http 500 error friendly stuff off is below. Again any help will be nice thanks!

This error is one of the most unhelpful error messages that you can get from the web server.

Although I can tell you that it is a database error.

It maybe worth trying to download the database, open it in Access and select compact and repair from the tools menu then re-upload the database.

DL the Database you mean to remove the forums then re-upload them? Hehe, told ya I was new. If you mean the server database it is controlled by my webhost and not local on my comp.

Yeah got that much and did that but still same error. So it must be something else as well. If you can think of anything else let me know.

Don't know if this makes a difference but the file got smaller after I did the repair.

Can anyone tell me what line 232 is refering to? I have re-uploaded the wwforum.mdb file after I repaired it. I have also seen other problems with the common.asp fiel and reuploaded that file as well and nothing. I am still getting this error, is all hope lost and I should re-upload the entire forum? Or at least I hope there is a way to back up the main files then restart the forum.

Found 232 and is reading as follows:

Set an active connection to the Connection object
adoCon.Open

It could be someting wrong with the database driver on the server, it maybe worth while contacting your web host and see if they can shed any light on this error.
