Don't buy good deal LCD's cause they suck. 15" LCD are for a server room (IMHO), for everything else they are too small. Make sure it supports DVI and has a refresh rate of under 20ms. I am extremely happy with my 20.1" Dell 16ms, thus it costs still over 700 I think. I shopped around a lot and found it is not worth it to save a penny on that.

my mom's just getting pissed at me for using her desk in the living room for all my computer crap... said i have to move it all into my room. Except i need another monitor and i don't have a whole lot of room to use. I'm trying to find something for under 200 bucks so i don't break the bank (don't have a job yet... i'm going to try and get a job a circuit city, they give discounts to their employees )

other than that i still need to buy like 50 feet of networking cable to run to my room so i get internet, and then i need to fricking run the cable myself... like through the back of the closet and drill up through the garage roof into my room

Don't skimp on networking cable if it's a 50 ft run or better - get the "shielded" stuff. Less packet loss/drop = faster speed.

Also measure the route. You usually don't have a direct run, and have do go along a wall, up, over, left, etc.. Turns out to be usually longer than you think. You want one continuouse cable - not two pieces with a patch connector.

that's what the 50ft's for... to make sure i have enough... but i think i'll run a string or something to see how long it is so i don't buy too much or too little
