CDONTS mail error

When trying to use CDONTS for e-mail in xp with forum v7 I get this error:

  • Error Type:
    (0x8004020F)
    The event class for this subscription is in an invalid partition
    /bbs/forum/functions/functions_send_mail.asp, line 137

  • Browser Type:
    Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.1; Huwnet; .NET CLR 1.0.3705; .NET CLR 1.1.4322)

  • Page:
    POST 80 bytes to /bbs/forum/email_messenger.asp

  • POST Data:
    subject=rjy&message=f&SEID=1&postBack=true&sessionID=648945048&Submit=Send+Email

  • Time:
    03 June 2003, 18:13:16

    Can anyone help?

    The error you are getting is if you set the forum to use CDOSYS, not CDONTS.

    This error often happens with CDOSYS if the SMTP server you have entered is incorrect.

    Try using CDONTS instead.

    In the admin section under the email congiguration section.

    CDOSYS does have servral bugs on xp pro this being one of them.
