    Posted: 11 December 2003 at 8:19pm
Hello: My start page set-up has been hijacked. No matter what I do the web-site "Search-Click.Com" pops up. I re-adjust the homepage setting in the browser but it doesn't work. I've used the WHOIS process to search out the perpetrators at "Search-Click.Com" and I'm going to use my powers as an attorney to give them the business. In the mean-time, can anyone suggest a fix for this malicious text which has embedded itself somewhere on my poor computer.

Its nothing except ad's. Let the start page open whatever it requires, then u'll see their is some option there for remover. If not, go to add/remove programs and see junk new softwares and remove them.

http://www.lavasoftusa.com/support/download/

Download adaware. Run it, and it will clear all spam/ad programs off your computer.

In my experience Adaware seems to miss a lot of things,  Spybot S&D (Freeware) is very good:

If that doesn't solve the problem get HijackThis:

http://www.spychecker.com/program/hijackthis.html

Which should let u locate & fix the problem...

There is an easy way to remove this in the registry.

OR just reinstall IE. Some Malicous code did this to me but as it did not install anything it did not count as ad-aware.
