I have run into a strange problem using access. I have a form for inserting and updateing some tables. Well, it seems that I can leave a numeric field blank. That it should have been a problem, but in this particular case blank is blank, an 0 is 0. If there is no information, the field should remain blank. How can I overcome this?
And yes, the field is set not to be required.

Sorted out. I have tryed to fill in the db with strings, and When the field is populated (with 5 for example) the string is automatically cast into a number, however if the field is empty the sting is passed and therefore an error returned. SO, I did a suplementary check, and when the string is empty I drop it.
