I am using the latest version of the Forum 7.8+security patch on Win 2K with SQL Server 2000.

On loading the registration page, the following error occurs when you select an Avatar:

Line 790

Error:'txtAvatar' is undefined

URL: .../register.asp?FID=0

I noticed that I had this same issue on an older version of the forum as well (v7.1). Have a missed a change file or does this issue still exist?

it should be strtxtAvatar ... not txtAvatar.

have you added, modified the forum registration page in anyway?

Thanks for your reply. I removed the ability to select your own avatar from the web. There was some code looking for the form element named 'txtavatar'. Have made appropriate changes.

oo this is a javascript error .. i thought it was a rendering page error

you are getting this error as the field called txtAvatar is missing.

or the js you have is not knowing what type of element it is looking for.

did you do any modifications on the file as it should work if you didn't.
