Topic: Software question Posted: 20 September 2004 at 6:06pm |
Hi all,
I have a 30 day software program i downloaded off the net. The 30days are up and cant use it anymore. Tried downloading it again and using it again but no luck, wouldnt allow me. If i edit the registry of the computer, will i be able to use the program? If so, how do i do that?
Thanks

Nobody here will help you pirate software. And to answer your question
- no - registry mucks don't generally work, so just buy it if you need
it.

Not all trial software rely on the Registry for that, it could well be a very innocent file in your $WIN$SYSTEM32 or any other folder, containg a 0/1, 0=time is not up, 1= time's up, how do you find that file? A shot in the dark for you, I can find it, but won't tell, or I would be absetting many people here, sorry.
If you need to use the software and there's no other like it for free or cheaper, buy it.

I am not going to go into details as I don't want to be banned but
activation systems are a little more complex than a 0 or 1 in a file
