I read an article on it, at the moment it's only speculation, and it
would be a while before it's release anyway. It'd be pretty
difficult for them as at the moment it's a pretty competative market.

Yeah, I agree it will probably be awhile if it does result in a Google Browser.
I guess Google is just setting up to rule the world in every way they can!

yeah, but maybe 808 didn't catch it until now
a google browser would be quite cool I think, I would definately at
least try it, and I think, it they make it as good as GMail, IE and
Mozilla will get real competition

And Amazon's getting into the Search Engine business. Went to amazon.com (us) last week about 3:00 AM to get a book and they had their new interface up. Really sucked. Lots of sloooow java script, and they got rid of the poser search and replaced it with just a single search box - no author/title/ibsn. The search returned 20,000 items - and not just books.
Wound up going to amazon.co.uk and found the book there (4 items returned). Went back to the us site and used the ibsn to get the bokk - and it couldn't find it - lol.
Sent them a critical email, and they removed the new interface (I'm taking credit - that's my story and I'm sticking to it!)
