You have iespell for ie but why not add http://spellbound.sourceforge.net/ for firefox.

I've looked into it but you can not fire up the spellbound extension from javascript or by clicking on a button in a web page.

There is also no way to detect with javascript if the extension is installed, so with the present version there is no point in adding a button for this as it is up to the user to install it themselves and start-up the extension themselves.

I wish it could be started from a button as I use spellbound myself, but at the moment it is not an option.

I just received an encouraging update from Robert of the Spellbound Firefox extension:

I spent some time thinking on how to allow a web page launch spellbound some more and believe I've found a way to allow a web site to do so.. I'll let you know when it is finished which will hopefully be this week.

looks excellent. It could load iespell if it was ie or spellbound for mozilla
