	Hi Everyone, My website was suspended by my host because of the Web Wiz software apparently. Perhaps I have done something wrong, but this is the reason I have received from the host. -------------- The issue wasn't bandwidth, it was CPU/RAM usage on the server. If you can improve your scripts so that they use less resources (ie CPU cycles) then we are more than willing to enable your site again. -------------- I don't really understand what this means (cpu cycles?). Does anyone have any advice about what I can do to fix this? I'd really appreciate any advice you might have. Thanks a million, Emmett

	What version are you using? If it is Access then this is probably the problem. Forums in their very nature use allot of server resources especially where Access is concerned, as allot of database calls are required, even more so on a busy forum. Each time the forum is accessed the entire Access database has to be loaded into the web servers memory. Many hosts do stop the use of forum software if they use Access database due to it using to many server resources, it's usually OK for very small sites, but as soon as your forum gets popular then the server is cained. If you can try using the MS SQL Server version as this requires allot less server resources and is much more robust.

	Hi boRg, thanks a million for your reply. Yes, I'm using the latest Access version. There are currently just over 200,000 posts. Do you think it would be easy to set up the MS SQL Server version, as I have no experience with it? Would it be possible to keep the data from the Access version? This is the what it says on my host's website regarding MS SQL -------- Using MS SQL Server Databases: Microsoft SQL Server is a high performance database which can be used in place of Access databases for your websites. MS SQL Server databases can be used in your ASP/Perl/iHTML scripts through the use of an ODBC datasource. Note: You will need a good understanding of MSSQL in order to use an MSSQL database on your website. Although Streamline provides the service, we do not provide consultancy on setting up your database free of charge. 	If you have 200,000 plus posts I really would recommend upgrading. You could batch delete topics but that would only postpone another problem. If your hosts offers it, go ahead and upgrade, it will improve performance and stability overall.

	I wouldn't personally wouldn't want to use Access for a forum that is above 50 members and about 2,000 posts. Anymore, I would certainly use SQL Server. You can checkout our own hosting which includes SQL Server by going to www.webwiz.net/webhosting/

	ok, thanks a million again. my hosts do allow ms sql server as well, thankfully. is there some way of keeping older data, for instance the users' information, so they won't have to register again? thanks again!

	thanks everyone for your help. my hosts are offering me ms sql functionality for �200 sterling, which is a bit much for me. 8.99 a month is a bit better, but the problem is there's a limit on bandwidth. so i'm going to have to keep looking for an alternative solution. thanks again. emmett.
