Well, if the spyware coding morons can do it, then I'm sure you can
code an ActiveX app and get some IE-using sucker to fall for a link to
download spyware/malware on their pc. You could then manipulate IE in
any way you wanted to do what you wanted such as making a querystring
call to your website where you could log what you needed.
Of course, the geeks and all the others using FireFox, Opera, and other
non-IE browsers and those running Linux or Mac systems would be not be
affected by your exploits, BUT on the upside you could potentially get
80% of the surfers to your site.
..oh yeah...we'd shun you here on the forum so you would have to weigh that against the benefits of knowing their homepage.
