i am since morning trying to find the information on configuring windows firewall execptions via direct registry edit but cant find any thing clear anywhere.. and my Xp-SP2 registry refrence is at home.. cant any one point me to a site..what i am trying to do is to be able to do emergency edits to the config of firewall , on a user pc by editing their registry remotely.

If its a domain then you can use group policy and if it helps I now you can set certain things using vbs

its a domain.. but no i dont want to use group policy.. i want something to be able to dont by registry.. i can write a batch file to configure firwall through command line and then run through scheduled task or remote exec on target pc
