I cant see just created forums and subforums, I am using MS Access database. It shows created in the admin area but in user area they are absent. I created full permissions set for me in that forum/subforum, this doesn't help neihter when I set permission for group nor individualy.

And one more question is the RTE that was in previous version will not work in 8.0 version, users are irritating with promt windows when wants to bold or italic some text.

Thanks

For your first issue make sure that you have successfully created permissions for each group for that forum.

If you have gone from a 7.x upgraded database you may need to delete all the entries in the tblPermissions table then re-create them in the admin area.

For your second point, make sure that you have enabled the RTE from the 'forum configuration' page in the admin area, and that your users have not disabled the RTE in their forum profiles.

Dear boRg thanks for promt replay, It seems that RTE is not supported with IE7 and Opera is that true? I can see RTE in Firefox but in IE7 and Opera it appears that irritating replay form.

IE7 presently has a re-draw bug in the beta version that effects it's RTE API.

It is on Microsofts list of known bugs and hopefully they will fix it soon.

As soon as they do I will release a patch that will re-enable the RTE for IE7 versions that have the fix.

Opera, doesn't have an RTE API, but they are working on one in beta version of Opera 8, but it is rather scatchy at present, but as soon as they sort it out, expect to see an update so the RTE in Web Wiz Forums supports it.

However, because it looks like Opera will have a different system to implement their RTE features it will probably take around 2 to 3 weeks of full-time development to make the necessary changes.

There are also rumours of Safari on the MAC OS X having RTE tools in future versions, so hopefully be able to have RTE support for Safari users to.

Dear boRg I deleted all records in tblPermissions table, then created new permissions again from admin area, however this fixed problem with moderators permission, but when I create new forum or subforum it is invisible for everyone, I created all permission for that forum, as access (for everyone) replay etc. nothing helps, note that in Forum Jump list at the bottom, this forum is visible and everyone can jump there, but not from the main page of the forum.

Your kind help is highly appreciated.
Thanks

Make sure in the admin area you have correctly given order numbers to your forums and categories.

It sounds like you don't have the permissions setup correctly from the admin area when creating the forum.
