I still dont understand why anyone would spend money on an iPod.
I can get a 30GB MP3, WMA, and Video player for $200 USD! Other MP3 players also supports FM radio, storage for files, and a ton more of other really cool features that iPod does not have.
A 4GB iPod is $250 USD.

ive got a Creative Zen Xtra 40gb, was £160, an am more than happy with it though its now been discontinued i dont want a video player - as id never use it i think people want ipods for the "fashion" statement - so are happy to pay over the odds for it, same as they're happy to spend over the odds for a t-shirt just becose of the name

It's always been a dream of mine to view a movie on a screen smaller than my palm

Something like the Cowon A2
makes more sense for video. It's much larger. But you still need to
choose the right tools for the job. You can't realistically view
programming tutorials on on because they generally require very large
screen sizes that are beyond standard TV or DVD specs. But for kids in
a car on a long trip? Who cares how big it is - it will keep them quiet.

My final iPod impressions has since lightened up a bit. It's not the iPod that sucks so badly... it's iTunes.
But I don't wear those namby-pamby crap earbuds... I've got genuine crap from Panasonic... Which is still leagues beyond...
I've since cooled down about the whole Panasonic incident... The
earphones are ok and deliver decent quality - it's just that they are
dishonest, break the law, and treat their customers like crap that
still ticks me off.
Oh, and I still have lots of women in the pipeline (need to cut down a
bit, or scale up when I have more time after the next GDT release) . I definitely don't need an iPod for any of that.
