    Posted: 05 May 2006 at 4:33pm
Hello,

I'd like to include some content only pages (i.e., non discussion forum pages) that I'd like to provide security for.

The thing is, I want to control access to those pages based on whether or not they have a WWF account and if they've logged in.

Is there a simple way to do this?

Thanks in advance,

Steve

It can be done, probably the easiest way to suggest this is if you look in the common.asp file, this file does does most of the login etc. work by calling functions in the file 'functions/functions_login.asp'

Thanks, that seems to work! Smile

On my wishlist is a tweak so that, when you click on a page that sends you to the login page, upon successful login, you are then redirected to the exact page you were trying to access. It always redirects to a main forum, not the intended page.

Thanks,

Steve

Hi boRg,

I'm not sure what you're referring to in your last reply. Is it a reply to my tangential question/request about the WWF login functionality knowing to redirect you to the initial page you were trying to access (which, I realize, doesn't have anything to do with my original question)?

Thanks,

Steve

I believe you were asking how to detect if a user is logged in or not using web wiz forums login system.
