I finally installed Windows Vista today after clearing out a hard-drive and holly crap Vista is so much better looking than WinXP!

The GUI is so much nicer and IE 7 isnt looking to bad, all through i still wonder about the security.

Now im having a hard time trying to decide if i want to convert everything over to Vista or keep using XP... i really love the new features Vista has to offer but its also still a beta... dam such a hard decision!

Anyone convert their main PCs over to Vista?

Microsoft sent me a copy of Windows Vista 32 and 64 bit at the end of last week for testing.

I am thinking of putting it on a spare PC when I get a chance just to play with some of it's features, but as I find driver etc. support for new OS's is not very good I will probably wait till about 6 months after the full version of Vista is released before using it on my own workstation.

Yes... that is one of the problems with Vista.

I set up duel booting on one of my PCs. Vista had trouble trying to find drivers for devices and using old drivers.

I like the way some of the small feaures such as Alt + Tab have been improved. Although the OS its self requires more resources it is alot better.

But I have removed vista until the final release.

It's true, it does look nice but i had a horrible time with drivers and yes it is a beta, but as for transfering my XP machines over...

I will do it but not yet...

... i think i'll give this a very gradual proccesing. but i would love to work on Vista instead of XP.

Last night i realized that i can not find any drivers for my sound card so it looks like ill have to stick with XP until Vista starts supporting more drivers... everything else works great though. But i did manage to crash Vista a few times last night just by multi-tasking :(
