I've installed 8.05 against my 8.01 DB and it is working fine, with the exception of an error that I get now when I (or Users) post and it tries to email those that have subscribed to be notified. Despite the error, it appears that everyone gets notified.

<<Begin Error>>

Server Error in Forum Application
An error has occured while sending an email.
Please contact the forum administrator.

Support Error Code:- err_SQLServer_send_mail_footer
File Name:- functions_send_mail.asp

Error details:-

The message could not be sent to the SMTP server. The transport error code was 0x800ccc14. The server response was not available

<<End Error>>

When I installed the 8.05, I kept the 8.01 in a different folder, and it still works fine, so I believe that the CDOSYS settings are correct and show correct in both forums.  I've compared the functions_send_mail.asp from both forums and they are exactly the same except for the comments at the top.

The error code resolves to be a Winsock error, but I don't get it with the 8.01 forum and I do the 8.05.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You could try re-uploading the files as this usually solves 99% of problems i get, sometime a certain file can get corrupted on the transfer and cause all sorts of havoc
Handyman man?
