Pass Subject and Body Variable on Post?

Hi, is there a way to pass a variable for the subject and body on a post?  In other words, I display RSS feeds and I would like to add a link called "discuss this" where when a user clicks the "discuss this" link  it populates the subject field with the title and the body field with the URL of the RSS article on a new post message.
