Web Wiz Forums Security/Bug Fix Release 9.06 - Event Date: 05 October 2007

Security vulnerabilities in Internet Explorer’s handling of images could lead to XSS hacks against your forum. Web Wiz Forums version 9.06 helps to defend against such attacks with improved security filtering.

This latest version of Web Wiz Forums has been released after our latest security audit which found that an vulnerability in the way IE handles images could be used to launch an XSS attack against Web Wiz Forums.

All users or previous versions are advised to upgrade to this latest release to protect their forums against potential threats.

Web Wiz Forums 9.06 also addresses a number of bugs reported by users in the previous 9.05 release.
