For a client I'm lookin into a forum solution which will plugin (or can/may be modified) into the current authentication system to achief a single sign on.

Is there a licence which permits this (modification).

I understand the support implications, and the client would probably take that.

Edit : Sorry wrong forum!

There is a built in member API which is very simple to use and will integrate Web Wiz Forums into a pre-existing login system.

It can work with your own login, logout, and registration pages.

To enable it and instructions on how to use it, just edit in notepad the file functions/functione_member_API.asp

What I found out the other day and I am not sure if you are looking for a similar solution but the forum has an API which if enables can be used to login the user from your existing site.

For example, in your current login script if you add the following:

session("user") = user
session("password") = password

Then view the forum, it will create the user in the forums database if it does not exist or it will log the user in if it exists.

This is very easy to implement, let me know if I have miss-understood you.
