Topic: Mod Req: Different Icons for Each Forum Posted: 11 May 2009 at 7:55pm |
Hi,
Please, i want different category icons/images for my each category. As i can see, each category has same icons. I need that mod for good appearance.
Example: For hardware category i can put mainboard icon, or for sport category i can put football icon etc..
Sincerely, muratto

Unfortunality, i don't know asp
To edizz:

Okie . A forum have one ID . You can use forum ID for icon name . Example : In forum_status_icon.asp :
If blnForumLocked Then strForumIconBgSrc = strForumIconSrc & "_locked" strForumIconTitle = strTxtLocked & " " & strForumIconTitle Else strForumIconBgSrc = "icon" & "/" & intForumID strForumIconTitle = strTxtForum End If |
That's : If forum ID's 80 . It'll find icon file 80.*** in folder icon in forum folder.

Would the icon folder not be in the forum_images folder?
If not, would it not be best to place it there?

Link to icon is : .../forum_images/icon/forumID.png . In this code :
'Display the topic status icon Response.Write("<div class=""topicIcon"" style=""background-image: url('" & strImagePath & strForumIconBgSrc & "." & strForumImageType & "');"">" & _ "<img src=""" & strImagePath & strForumIconSrc & "." & strForumImageType & """ border=""0"" alt=""" & strForumIconTitle & """ title=""" & strForumIconTitle & """ />" & _ "</div>") |
strImagePath = /forum_images (default)
