The only thing that would course this type of thing is the way in which you have configured the bad word filter.

You must have entered a word in the bad word filter that matches the text within the words you have and replaces them with words containing an star.

You have nar and Nar in the bad word filter. When it sees either of those character strings it replaces them so everything is working properly.

If you don't mind seeing those characters in the middle of a word but just want to change them when they are stand-alone words, you might want to try putting a space on either and/or both sides of them - e.g. " nar", "nar ", " nar ".

I don't remember if spaces are retained by the filter or trimmed off, but I think they're retained.

The bad word filter has been updated for version 9.64 so that you can use Regular Expressions for the text you are searching for.

This will allow you to create very powerful pattern matching so you can more accurately search for patterns and text you wish to replace.

For example under the preposed system if you wanted to match just 'nar' and not 'snart' you would put in the following as the bad word:-

\bnar\b

This would then only match 'nar' and not whole words containing 'nar'

LOL - good deal, as you can imagine here when we filtered a certain word, well, 'compass' became 'compbutt'  or 'comprump'.  It was SO funny at times, we had people really laughing at the results in some cases.
