whan i roll over the mouse on on of the topics i can see the first Message in little Box that ROCKZZZZ  

can somone plllllllllzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz Tell  how i do that  ?   files somthing plzzzzzzz !!

You can add the attrbute title="some text here" to any link, this then displays as a pop up when the mouse is moved over it.

The one you see on the topics page of this forum is something I am testing for version 7.02 that places the first 200 characters of a post into the title attribute of the link. To prevent errors all the HTML is stripped from the beginning of the post using a new function that I am currently testing.

There are still some bugs etc. to iron out with it.

Might be an idea to make "first 200 characters" variable from the admin section so forum admin can put a value of eg 0 in it to reduce the number of bytes send to the client

idea : maybe u add this to the Profile  page .. and then the users can choose how much characters they want to see (just an opinion)

Borg plz send the Code to the Mod Builder Groups and than we could help u Faster and making Mods with this [=

I finshed testing the code and it all works fine, but it requires so many new lines of codes in multiple files that it wouldn't be practical publsihing the code in the post, so I'm afraid you'll just have to wait for version 7.02 to become available.

The number of characters won't be added as an admin option at the moment as it would mean having to change the database which I don't want to do between minor versions otherwise I will get thousands of posts from people who have trouble with upgrading. By keeping the database the same only the files need to be updated so there will be no loss of data for those who don't know much about databases.

Also if you move the mouse over the first poster you can see when the first post was made in that topic.
