I was wondering if someone can point out the best way to determine if a user is logged in to the forum on pages outside of the forum. For example, i want to only display some content and offer downloads if they are already logged in.

I'm sure someone already did something like this, but I searched for 'session variables' and cannot find anything posted here. Any help is tremendously appreciated!!!
 
Naturally, I am hoping it will be something as simple as one or two "includes" I need to drop in the ASP file outside of the forum app, but If I have to do extra coding that's fine, I would really like some direction.

I have a tutorial on Member-Only Pages.

Just include the "common.asp" file into your page, and then use the 
intLoggedInUserID <> 2

to determin if they are logged in.

If it equals 2 then they are a guest, anything else is a logged in user. Also 1 is the default Admin account.
