Hi,
Is there a thread for suggestions for the next version?

I'd like to add a couple please;

Signup;
I'd like to see the sign up process a lot simpler. Could we not just have a tick box to agree to terms on the registration page (with a pop up window showing the terms) rather than having that on the first page?

On the signup page it would be nice if only the required fields were shown and the other non required ones hidden. I've been told all the fields put some people off from registering.

Finally on the signup section could we have an OAuth option so that people can signup and login using their Facebook, Twitter, Google account etc,? I've read that people are 150 times more likely to signup if this is offerred.

CSS /Styles;
Would it be possible to drop the use of tables and go straight to a CSS design. I really like Wordpress for this and it allows much more flexibility for styling. A lot of forums are drifting away from the traditional forum layout and look and I don't want to be left behind.

Admin Login;
I drop between the admin panel and forum quite a bit. I find an issue though in that if I start writing a reply, open the admin console, check a setting, drop back to my reply window and hit post I'll lose the post and have to refresh / post again. An access denied msg appears.

Uploads;
Option for multiple uploads at the same time a la Wordpress.

PM;
Option to PM multiple people at the same time.

That said, keep up the good work!

Apart from the above mentioned I would suggest to add the useraviailablity button this will help signup easily.

Thank-you for your suggestions. I have moved this post to the Suggestions forum so that it can be viewed when looking for new features to add.

Although regarding the signup you can select to have a short signup form from the admin area so that you only display required fields and not the whole signup form.

The registration rules are both displayed to comply with local laws, but also the signup page is an extra security item used to prevent remote form submissions to the registration page.

  1. ability to broadcast a private message to All users or Some Group of users.
  2. configure a welcome Private Message to new user after first login to the forum.
  3. Archiving old Post so that ّthe forum performance increased and old post appear in resultsof search engines.

I'd love to see this myself.  Also, don't forget LinkedIn in addition to Facebook, Twitter & Google.
