How to put diferente colors for name groups: Admin Group, Guest, Moderator Group, Newbie, Groupie, Senior Member?
example:
Admin Group -> Red (Admin Group) Guest -> Orange (Guest) Moderator Group -> Blue (Moderator Group) Newbie -> Black (Newbie) Groupie -> Purple (Groupie) Senior Member -> Green (Senior Member)

There was an old WWF mod done by "stardust" from a few years back, that allowed you to change username colours for Admin (I had them in red) but I asked if they could do it for multiple user groups and nothing ever happened sadly :(
I would love this mod for my forums and user groups.

It shouldn't be that hard for me to knock something up, if you are comfortable and willing to edit some CSS.
However having an extra box in the Admin area would take a little longer.

Good morning When I saw this, I thought the same. Then I realised that if you changed the colour on just the page that displayed the posts in details it would look odd that the colours aren't different on the other pages where the user name is displayed. Such as <your forum>.forums.html <your forum>.<forums topic forum number>.html <your forum>.<forums topic post name>.html A few tweaks would be needed in /Includes/Global_Variables and possibly some other places, as well as the admin form. This seemed to be a bit too much work to have to redo for every new release of the forum. Is there a process where Webwiz agrees that this is something that they would like to add to the next release if someone else does it? Bye Ian

Why does anyone need more than an 80x25 character only VDU?

I have created the first version of this which is controlled completely with CSS. You can download it from my website on the Group Name Colours page. The download includes an example file in the "css" folder.

Scotty really good work, but would like to put different colors Guest, Newbie, Groupie and Senior Member?
Here Guest, Newbie, Groupie and Senior Member were equal to Admin Group with red color.

Good morning I had a quick look at the mod and I am a bit confused. <span class="s2hGroup<%=intGroupID%>"><% = strGroupName %></span> Where you derive the last character of the stylesheet name from intGroupID, this makes perfect sense as a concept. However intGroupID does not appear to be a variable that is specific to each post, if you look at the list of variables populated (line 1219 onwards in forum_posts.asp) for each post, intGroupID is not one of them. If you were to modify the query to select tblAuthor.GroupID and use this then it would all make sense to me. It would also explain why lordtec is only seeing one style being used. Of course I could be a complete idiot . Bye Ian

Sorry, this was a very quick hack, I assumed intGroupID was for the post author, since strGroupName is.
I will try and fix this up tonight.
Ian, you are correct that was my intention, as well as the fix.
