Hello and thank you for allowing me topost here.

My question is probably quite stupid to you but I have searched and read and searched and read and I still do not understand. I can make frames  (dreamweaver mx studio) and preview them on my web page but after I upload thay are not present. Please, please someone explain to me how to put frames in my web site that I design and how I save them so that they show up when posted on the web. What I need to acomplish is having a area on left side to put navigation buttons in. I have been able to read about saving frame sets and frames and all that but not how to include them on my web page. whenevr I am working on my web page in dreamweaver and add a frame it is a totaly seperate html document, so how does it get into my index.html page! I apoligize for the stupid question but I am lost.

Thank you for your time.

the index.html page is your frame page so it could contain something like:

<html>
...
<frameset cols="80,*" frameborder="NO" border="0" framespacing="0">
  <frame src="navigation.htm" name="leftFrame">
  <frame src="mypage.htm" name="mainFrame">
</frameset>
...</html>

Then create a page called navigation.htm as well as mypage.htm and upload all three files.

?? The index.html is the frame page, "framing" the two others. Each of those two pages could be viewd individually thus the frame page displays them in one window.

Hello,

Yes I am taking this all one step at a time....lol...I want to make sure I catch every detail that is possible. Do you mean you could not see the title page animation? There should be a short animation in the title area, worked for several people that have visited so far.

Thanks so much for showing an intrest, any help is greatly appreciated!
