Some suggetions for the forum

Hey borg, just some suggestions that would make it a little easier working with the forum for all users and developers...

1. Hold the "strDatabaseType" variable in the SQL_server_connection.asp file. This way we dont have to edit 2 or more common.asp files at a time.

2. Make a variable simlar to the "strImagePath" variable for the smilies. This would be helpfull for making a skin changer, because if the smilies arnt transparent the skins will look funny.

3. Make a check for the same muiltple names in the active users. When AOL members are on, it shows the name a few times.

4. In some files you set the rsCommon and adoCon connection to nothing before the skin file and/or footer has been included, and if someone wants to make a database query in one of these files they cant use rsCommon, and have to make a new recordset (can make the page load a little slower). Moving the closing of the connections and recordsets below the footer include would fix this.

5. In the active topics page, it would be really cool to link the category names to the category page, that way it would be easyer to post a new topic in that category if your looking at the active topics. (saves time from having to go the main page, click the category, then click new topic).

6. Again, in the active topics page, it would be cool to have the admin icon next to the topic like on forum_topics.asp (again, saves time from having to click a extra couple of links to get the admin topic page).
