active users situation

hi all,

i've just noticed that in my active users page the following stat:

well, i know that's not correct.  it just so happened that this started right after i set up a test sql db and created a new folder with a separate copy of asp code in it for testing purposes and started accessing both from the same browser in a "back and forth" manner.  both forums seem to have the same wild numbers. unless it's a cookie thing i've apparently kludged up something and if someone would point me to the necessary asp pages or direction to look at i'd appreciate it.  I fear i'll make it worse by trying different things.

edit---i found the thread recommending someone using access delete his entries.  i did this, logged back on checked-it looked fine, checked again in a few-fine. then logged off, waited a few, logged on as a different user and the different user's minutes now included the first log on time ---- if this rings a bell with anyone.
