What is the maximum length a post can be on the Web Wiz Forum?

I was trying to post quite long post for ages and it refused to do it but when I split it into two posts it worked fine. I assume it was too long but it doesn't say how long posts are allowed to be or stop you typing etc :/

Give´s a mod or something for that! pls help thx!!

There is no maximum length set by the code but the ASP request object that is required to read in form input can only handle up to 100kb.

This is a limitation of ASP, and the size of the post depends on allot of things as the response object also holds loads of other data from your site such as cookies, browser details, HTTP headers, etc. etc. so amount of data that can be put in will be unquie to your site, what pages the person has vited on your site, cookies set, the browser being used, refering URL, etc. etc.

How long was your post!?!?!?  100 kilobytes is 102,400 bytes which is 102,400 characters!  Granted, other variables take a chunk of that.  But that's a long post!

And I thought I was long winded.

Sounds like you are writing a story or something.  Might be good for your readers to split it up into pieces anyway (by chapter or section for example).  You could always reply to your own post with the next part.
