I downloaded and put up the forum (version 7.01) on my site a few days ago. In tested I've found that the formatting options for posts don't work, nor do the preview post and clear form buttons, nor the forum codes link. All give an 'error on page' message in my bottom task bar.

Anybody have any clues as to why it is doing this, or how I could fix it? I can see that the formatting options work here  :)

Thanks!

It could be a corrupted file, try reuploading all the files again.

If you have tried intergrating the forum into your own site it could be that some other javascript is interfering with the javascript in the forum code.

Thank you; I will try that. As far as saving any work I've already done in configuring the forum, would it work to re-upload everything except the database?

I don't think that there should be any javascript interference. I have the forum in a seperate folder and the link to it opens a new window.

Do you know offhand what fole/folder the formatting options might be in so that I could re upload only those?

Thank you again!  :)

It would be better to reupload all the files just not leave your old database as not all the javascript is in one central file.
