It's a neverending spiral. The Good Guys make something neat, the bad guys want to f**k with it, then the good guys patch it, bad guys break it again. It will never end.
Basically, if you don't like viruses, you a Mac or Linux. If you don't want to be hacked/have viruses, use a mac (but then you won't be able to do anything anyway)
So here's a cheat sheet for those that are confused (Base-Installs):
Windows - Semi-Secure, Virus Ridden - Tons of software/support
Linux - Very Unsecure, No real probs with viruses, - Tons of Free! software, support's a bitch...but there's a lot out there for people w/ time
Mac - Secure, no virus probs, very little software/support. Hey, when you're only 8% of the market share, whaddya gunna do?
