Privacy Statement

-boRg- has a privacy statement for the Web Wiz Guide and for the forum.  There is also the registration_rules.asp statement for new users.  However, it is not clear, from those how a new user's email address will be used.  (a registered email address doesn't actually display anywhere does it? )

Is there a detailed statement that explains to potenial Forum registrants what their options are regarding the email address that they use in registering?  (I want assure new forum members that we need their email but it is protected from spammers and not distributed to others)

You can determine whether you want your email to be shown or private here on the the forums. If you choose to hide it then when others view your profile it will not appear. If you choose to show it then others will be able to view your email address by click on your name and viewing your profile.

To hide or unhide your email address you can click the Settings button at the top of the forum then click Edit Profile then locate the area in your profile that says Show my Email Address and select Yes or No.
