I should have been more clear. If i post my MSN ID on a forum, spyders will get it and i will get a butt load more spam.

So it's a another name for a website? Interesting I have never heard that before.

By the way I like the calendar on there, how does one go about getting one of those?

I am thinking it would suit my purpose quite well with a few changes in the format for my events calender.......

Ya you could call it just a website.

The calendar is part of the portal. You would have to have the portal for the calendar to work since its built into the website.

Actually a portal is a site or application that offers access to presentational content. Now there are tons of "websites" that have boxes with content and call themselves portal, actually most are not really a portal if you take it literally. For example msdn.com is a portal because it offers published content for Developers. A site that has a calendar, a forum and a poll is not necessarily a portal but just another website.
