Question -
We also run an ASP shopping cart, in SQL as well that could easily run a query when a customer buys something to send their e-mail and password to the forum database to add them as a user, but the problem is, the USERNAME would be missing.
Sure, we could ask them to provide a username, but would rather not. The forums are only for customers and would love to allow them to login with their email OR their username, and IF they login with an email, it takes them to the register screen with everything filled out where they can choose a username, or "someplace" to choose a username for themselfs, and then completes the process.
Just toying with ideas.. any thoughts?
