Hi, I'm interested in your hosting services, particularly the up to date support for .NET. I'm tempted to go with the starter configuration and then grow as required.

Can you tell me what your plans are for .NET 4 support once it is released?

Do you provide any kind of bandwidth utility to enable us to check how much is being downloaded?

We work a lot with WCF, and at the moment are looking into message level security and I would like to know whether it is possible to load certificates into the web server's certificate store (current user or local machine).?

Finally, do you have a published list of charges for 'extras' etc. It would be handy to have a full price list for the likes of: extra bandwidth, extra storage, extra SQL storage.

Thanks in advance, I look forward to hearing from you.

Colin

We hope to be able to offer ASP.NET 4 as soon or very shortly after it is released.

The control panel comes with reporting tools to check on how much disk space and bandwidth is being used.

If you needed SSL Certificate installed on the web server that your website is on then can do this for you.

Most of the extras such as extra SQL Server diskspace, extra SQL Server databases, etc. can be found on the page listing the package details, as you have not mentioned which packages you are looking at I can not give you the link to the page.

Items such as requiring extra bandwidth you would be notified by email if you exceeded the limit, if it looks like you were going to be exceeding the limit for continuous months then you would be asked to look at upgrading the package you are using. Our top Professional Packages come with unlimited bandwidth.

Any update on .NET 4 support? I'm currently looking at doing some development in .NET 4 but want to make sure my favorite web host is going to support me. :) Also, what about the move to SQL Server 2008 R2? Will this occur quickly?
Dave.

The ASP.NET 4.0 Framework is already supported on our Windows 2008 R2 Platform.

To enable ASP.NET 4.0 for your websites just edit the website setting in your control panel and under the Extensions tab select ASP.NET 4.0 or ASP.NET 4.0 Integrated Pipeline.

SQL Server 2008 R2 is due for release next month and are looking at putting a new SQL Server 2008 R2 database server online shortly after it's release.

We will also at the same time evaluate upgrading our present database servers to the R2 release, however most of the new features in the R2 release focus around management and clustering as there are no new datatypes, so without further investigation at first look there may well be no benefit in upgrading the present SQL Server 2008 database servers to the R2 release.
