How do you put downloads on a site? Does it involve the server or anything? I'm clueless any advice would be helpful. Thanks.

You just put the file on your webserver and point to in with a link, so yes, it does involve the server.

how do i do that? is there a certain spot i have to put the file? i mean can i put the file in the folder with the rest of my web documents and make a link to it?

Yes you can Mike. Just FTP in and upload the file.

I would recommend a directory just for downloads for organizing purposes.
