All you need is find some website template and learn the style if you don't have enough money or don't want to give money to buy this .

I might have arrived at this topic too late to see the original site, but what I just saw was:
Grey background with two-column table centred.   The left column contains an image, the right one the word 'survive'.

Is that it?  

I'm not saying web design is easy, but THAT couldn't have been difficult (although I did like the image)...

The site changed a bit. Some good content for a personal site (I'm partial to funny faces, flyfishing, weddings and other parties), but the organization and colors were all over the place. Looking at the HTML for the home page, doesn't appear as if he's done. Lot of javascript that's not used yet, and looks like he's starting with css.

EDIT: - of course he might just be offended and set everything to grey.
