After installing all apps (framework, SQL, etc ) from Web platform installer, I noticed that sites made with framework 2.0 are not working. I checked in control panel > programs and features and noticed that framework 2.0 is not even installed.
I reinstalled 3.5SP1 which includes 2.0 as well and still site is not working. Funny thing is that framework 3.5SP1 is not even listed among installed programs in control panel, even though site made in 3.5 is working properly on my local machine.

I have tried manually to install 2.0 but i get the warning to turn the windows feature on or off. Did that and still no luck.

Has anyone had a similar problem?

I have win7 ultimate 32bit.

I pretty sure Win7 comes with the ASP.NET 2.0 Framework. ASP.NET 3.5 is not a new framework but just builds on teh ASP.NET 2.0 framework by adding extra features and libraries to the 2.0 framework.

You should try restarting IIS to see if that helps.

Check also the applications pools to make sure they are using ASP.NET. There are two difefrent ones you can select, the ASP.NET integrated pipeline uses ASP.NET integrated into the IIS pipeline, whereas the alternative ASP.NET for the application pool uses ASP.NET under an ISAPI filter.

I tried both but still the same thing. They all are using Asp.net.

I also deleted framework 3.5 from windows features,, restarted win, reinstalled everything yet still the same thing.

Just wondering why if 3.5 is working it is not visible that framework is installed in control panel? I know that in vista it was visible under installed programs.
