when i only have an image in the RTE form and when i go to update it

there is a <br> tag included in there. when i save and go into update the image again there are 2 <br> tags and this pattern continues.

how do I eliminate the <br> tag from automatically appearing when going to edit the contents.

this only happens in mozilla browser, not in IE

Mozilla's built in RTE API auto places this into the area, so it can not be removed.
