You first need to figure what upload component your ISP has installed if any.

not your ISP. thats your internet service provider. he meant your hosting company or the people who own the server in other words...

hi

I'm a beginner in ASP but I Think there is a way to upload files without additional components I didn't try it but I found in the web pure scripts  that let's you upload a file.

May you should search these kind of scripts

The ISP I use is from the company where I work I think I can have them to install one if I ask. I thought that I could upload for exemple smartupload by myself and then start to use this function as I can do with other databas and other scripts.

well you need to install a component fitst. Some of the ones this forum uses are free like dundas. Once you installed it you can use it but before that you cannot create an object to that.

Using compnent-less uploads I find fairly unreliable. I tried two different ones and sometimes it seems to work and sometimes not.
