Hi,
Over the past few weeks I have noticed that someone somewhere is doing searches for Web Wiz Forums inurl:uk(us).   Can anyone explain what they might be looking for, it seems people are arriving at my site using this search term. Don't know if I should be worried or thankfull I've got visitors!

Having just tried it myself, this seems to pick up any UK based web wiz forums that hold the word "us" within a post, topic or main page. Why they might do this, or how you have noticed this, would be interesting to learn

I have these (without the US) and as I mentioned previously, I suspect that it is hackers trying to find forums which they can hack, they will generally attack older forums which have not been updated to take advantage of known exploits.

Think you could be right. Looking at the counties the searches are made from like azerberjan & turkey I think they are looking for the older forums that may be about, trying some sort of SQL injection, cross site scripting(XSS) or other web attacks means.
At to moment all seems well but best I keep an eye on things, I think!
