I have downloaded free edition of web wiz captcha and i was testing it on localhost. today i've opened the form wich includes this page <!-- #include file="CAPTCHA/CAPTCHA_process_form.asp" -->   and found that line replaced with some strange code,  bugging all the site:

<MM:BeginLock translatorClass="MM_SSI" type="ssi_comment" orig="%3C!-- #include file=%22CAPTCHA/CAPTCHA_process_form.asp%22 --%3E" fileRef="CAPTCHA/CAPTCHA_process_form.asp" depFiles="file:///D|xxxxxxxxxx/administer/CAPTCHA/CAPTCHA_process_form.asp"><%
'****************************************************************************************

What the hell ?
I mean i 've read the license agreement, but on localhost the script is not public, how can i decide if  i want to use it on the public site, if  this script, at the first installation, trying to send out informations ?

Is this a trojan ?

Looking at the code the fact it has MM: at the front looks like you have opened the file in Dreamweaver and it has changed the code.

I then did a quick search online and found your issue is caused by a bug in Dreamweaver:-

http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/165/tn_16511.html

I would suggest editing the file in a text editor and putting back in the original code that you had and avoid opening the file in Dreamweaver, which is what rewrote the include link.

I just tried to alter a header.htm file and now the entire website is down. Below is the error message. I appears that the captcha line is multiplying like rabbits. I have no page and customers will go elsewhere. I will try all night to fix this but could really use  some help, big time. I had no idea one vbscript error could destroy my ignorant life.

Is there a safe way to disable the captcha and have my pages load? I would have to put up with spam until it was fixed later.

Is there a manual text edit I can do that would get rid of the multiple captcha references and script and then regain my pages? Our web person refused to make changes so I'm the designated site assassin  I guess. Please guide me here? Thanks for any help you can give. Aloha!

Microsoft VBScript compilation error '800a0411'

Name redefined

/CAPTCHA/CAPTCHA_configuration.asp, line 48

This kind of error usually means that you have used a CAPTCHA instance twice on one page. Re-alter your header file back to what it was and your site should come back up. Post your header file HTML here and it may help to try to find the issue
