Topic: Insert Hyperlink Posted: 10 November 2005 at 12:41pm |
Hello,
how is it possible to insert a Hyperlink with the "insert Hyperlink", which do not show the URL but the title of the hyperlink?
i.e.: NOT www.firefox.com, but "get the firefox"
Greetings
Wolfi

Select the text, then click the hyperlink button.
You will see the text appear in the hyperlink box in the pop up window,
but that is only there to speed things up for those users who have
typed in the full URL, just overwrite the text in the hyperlink box
with the URL.
Once you hit 'OK' it will turn the hylighted text into a link to the URL you have typed into the hyperlink pop-up.

-> last question: how to disable a hyperlink without deleting the word (maybe its a long term and do not want to rewrite the whole text) ?

I did spend many days trying to find a solution to this, in IE it was
simple, but in Firefox I had to admit defeat. The only solution is to
delete the text and re-write it.
