There should be no issue with it working in Firefox, as it is mainly developed in Firefox due to it's error console for tracking down javascript errors.

Could you please explain in what way it is not working?

Also the Error Console in Firefox may shed some light on why it is not working.

I was also having trouble in Firefox (but not IE). However, I noticed that as the page loaded, in the RTE textarea a bunch of code referring to Snap was being loaded and then deleted. I had a Firefox add-in called Snap.com installed. Once I uninstalled it, the RTE worked perfectly.

So, there seems to be some error with the Snap.com add-in messing with the textarea. That's a shame, because I love the Snap.com add-in and I have to tell all users to uninstall it.
