Hi
In text editor Version 3.1
If i create a hypelink.
then go back and edit it
it seems to have lost the www.xyz.com part and put the human readable text in to the
place where the web address should go.

is this a bug or just how it works? or do i have a corrupt file?

otherwise this is a great little tool

cheers for any help

D

The Web Wiz RTE uses the built in RTE API of the web browser that you are using. Different web browsers handle links in different ways.

You may want to also use the Preview button as you may find the link is still there when the submit the data.

the site is hosted on an intranet running IIS6.

I have tested using IE6 and IE7
Both fail to pre-view when a previously generated link is hilighted and the hypelink button pressed.

we are using this to document interal procedures that will have so relativly complex links that will needed editing from time to time.

The URL  is not show when you re-open a link (nor will it pre-view) , but in the html view all the information is there.
Most intended users of this will not understand the HTML, but should be able to update URLs.  Where as having to re-create them could be tricky.

cheers

IE 6 and IE 7 have the same RTE API as Microsoft did not update it.

To see the effect different RTE API's have you need to compare against a different browser like Firefox.
