Well i just got the first support problem for IIS7. Now that IIS7 does not come installed with ASP Classic by default, its going to be a nightmare dealing with it.

1) ASP not installed by default
2) Requires extra settings to be changed just to see error messages
3) Every support problem is going to be because of hosts not setting it up :(

Boooo IIS7

I've been using IIS 7 for around 9 months now and most of the servers here including the one for this site run on it. It's so much better than IIS 6.

ASP is installed by default it just needs to be enabled, but this can be done as a default setting for any new sites as well as displaying detailed error messages.

By default all detailed error messages including ASP and ASP.NET are disabled, but it's quite easy to change it so that by default they are displayed for all and any newly added websites.

Most web hosts, including ourselves will have ASP detailed error messages displayed by default, otherwise it's going to be a support nightmare for any shared web hosting company.

The only issue in regards to detailed error messages I have come across is that you can not have custom error pages and detailed error messages enabled at the same time.

I agree with Bruce, it is much better than 6. My machine at work is running IIS 7 and it took me awhile to get everything working and to figure out how to enable ASP and parent paths etc etc but once I got it all working how I wanted it I have not needed to touch it since.

From a security and performance standpoint Microsoft do have the right idea of having these options disabled by default.

Once you get use to IIS 7 it's quite easy to have them options enabled by default for new websites if you need them.

Buddy  IIS 7 best, for get some thing best you can scarifies any thing, :) . I know its boring but dear i use IIS 7 its have good interface.
